High Prairie School Division is seeking dedicated 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 to support the diverse needs of our students across the division. As an EA, you’ll play a key role in assisting teachers with educational and therapy programs that address the physical, mental, and behavioural needs of students, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: We are looking for applicants who are compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with students. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, and a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential. Experience working with students with special needs, behavioural challenges, and speech/language programs is a strong asset, along with Early Childhood Training, a Teacher Assistant Certificate, and First Aid Training.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

• Implement Individual Program Plans under the supervision of the teacher,

• Assist with classroom discipline, field trips, and student evaluations,

• Monitor students in class and during activities for safety and progress,

• Adapt classroom activities and encourage independence and self-help skills,

• Support students with personal needs such as feeding, toileting, and mobility,
